Effective Jan. 1, 2024, our new name will be Stevens County Times, as we have expanded our delivery area to serve all residents and businesses in Stevens County. A free paper will continue to reach every mailbox in Clayton (99110), Loon Lake & Deer Lake (99148), Springdale (99173), Valley (99181), Hunters (99137), Fruitland (99129), Ford (99013), Tum Tum (99034) and Nine Mile Falls (99026). In addition, over 2,000 complementary copies will be distributed to area businesses, libraries and newsstands throughout Stevens County, from Nine Mile Falls to Northport, from Rice and Hunters over to Chewelah – plus N. Spokane and Deer Park. We invite you to use this great tool to expand your reach to over 12,000 potential customers in the region.

Our reporters live in the community in which they report and highlight local businesses, non-profit organizations as well as county organizations to provide readers with timely and relevant news and stories. Every edition of the newspaper includes a local business directory; calendar of events; community resources; as well as school, church, fire & safety, health, county, business, and community news for the South Stevens and North Spokane counties.

Display ADs, Classified ADs, Articles, Columns and Obituaries are due by the 25th of the month prior to the publication in which they will be placed. For example, your display AD for the December edition is due by Nov. 25.
Display ADs: 5 p.m. on the 25th of each month
Classified ADs: 5 p.m. on the 25th of each month
Obituaries: 5 p.m. on the 25th of each month
Front Page Calendar: 5 p.m. on the day before each publication.
Publication Dates:
The Stevens County Times will be published on the first Tuesday of each month (except when it falls on a holiday or on the 1st of the month). Newspapers reach newsstands the day after publication (Wednesday) and mailboxes the following day (Thursday).
