Gospel Freedom Fest set for July 5

By David Lewis

Cedonia Community Church is proud to host the 4th annual Gospel Freedom Fest featuring gospel and patriotic music by musicians from our area of Northeast Washington. This relaxing event will be held outside on the plaza in front of the historic church, which was established in 1897. There is no cost to attend.

In keeping with the 4th of July tradition of great food, there will be a barbecue featuring free hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and salad. There are numerous fun activities for children of all ages. Chairs are available, but feel free to bring your own camping chair and sit under the shade of our mighty maple trees.

You will receive a warm country welcome with Christian fellowship as we lift up the Name of Jesus and have toe tapping patriotic tunes in a salute to our great nation. The music, children’s activities and the serving of food will begin at noon and end at 6 p.m. There will be a variety of musical numbers from patriotic, gospel, hymns and bluegrass. Great vocals and instrumentation includes guitars, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, string bass, harmonicas and keyboard.

These Northeast Washington musicians provide a great listening opportunity. When the scheduled musicians have all performed, there will be a time of worship music where any and all may join in. It is a fitting way to end the evening with friends and family in fellowship.

Cedonia Community Church is located at 4562 Hwy 25 South, three miles north of Hunters, Wash. For more information visit
